The Show Society is conducting the 128th annual Condobolin Show on 23 and 24 August, hosting competitive classes for horses (five rings including 2 Showjumping and ASHS), Merino sheep and fleeces, cattle and all the traditional pavilion classes. A  Championship Dog show also takes place on the adjacent location on Saturday.

Displays and trade exhibits abound in the pavilion and commercial areas, machinery and industrial area, and there is always a sizable roll-up of popular sideshow rides, games and food stalls. Show & Ride tickets ($30-worth for $25) which can be used in Sideshow Alley, are available pre-Show (only) through the Secretary’s Office at the showground.

Attractions at this year’s Show, headlined by the return of the Down the Lachlan Speed Shear, will include a dog high jump, Fairy La La, WOW Reptile Encounters and the ever-popular Condobolin RSL Club Pipe Band with visiting pipers and drummers. A huge Veteran Vintage & Restoration Club display is again expected to boast over 100 exhibits and the Fletcher’s Fabulous Fireworks Show finale on Saturday night is reputed to be the best in the Central West.
