Don Brown Memorial
Merino Ewe Competition

The Annual Don Brown Memorial Merino Ewe Competition is hosted by the Condobolin PAH&I Association every year in February, showcasing top Merino flocks from around the Condobolin region.

2026 Winner
R Neal and Co

R Neal and Co of ‘Lockerbie’ Condobolin won the 46th Don Brown Memorial Merino Ewe Competition.
Robert and Belinda Neal together with Louise and Alex Wells were excited to take out the top title.

R Neal and Co’s winning Gundarimbah-blood flock was classed by Tom Kirk.

SECOND

McDonald Bros Farming, “Nyora’ Condobolin (Graham, David and James McDonald) took home second spot.
Their flock (Yanko blood) ewes were classed by Michael Elmes.

 

THIRD
Karu Pastoral, “Big Weebah”, (Philip, Bernadette and Meg Crouch) secured third place.
Their Big Weebah bred ewes were classed by Chris Bowman.

2025 Winner
Corella Partnership

Corella Partnership of Condobolin won the 45th Don Brown Memorial Merino Ewe Competition. Tom and Kate Stuckey (Principals) along with the Stuckey family have a rich history of participation in the competition and were excited to take out the top title.

Corella Partnership’s winning Belswick Blood flock was classed by Chris Bowman.

SECOND

The Jones Family, ‘Flamingo’, Condobolin (Mark, Carol, and Brad Jones) took home second spot. Their flock (Lachlan Merino blood) ewes were classed by Glen Rubie, Lachlan Merinos, Forbes.

 

THIRD
Karu Pastoral (Philip, Bernadette, Harold, and Meg Crouch) secured third place. Their Big Weebah bred ewes were classed by Chris Bowman.

2024 Winner
Karu Pastoral

The Crouch family (Karu Pastoral Pty Ltd, ‘Big Weebah’) of Condobolin won the 44th Don Brown Memorial Merino Ewe Competition. Philip, Bernadette, Harold, and Meg Crouch have a long history of success under their belt in the competition and were excited to take out the top title.

Karu Pastoral’s winning flock was classed by Chris Bowman. The family presented a line of home bred maiden ewes.

The Jones Family, ‘Booroola’, Condobolin (Mark, Carol, and Brad Jones) took home second spot. Their flock of ewes were classed by Glen Rubie, Lachlan Merinos, Forbes.

 

THIRD
Corella (Condo) Partnership (Tom and Kate Stuckey) secured third place. Their ewes were classed by Chris Bowman.
